I am Martina González (ES, 2002) I was born in a small village in Spain and have moved around since I was five; Chad, Sudan, Cambodia, Mozambique, and now The Netherlands. Based in Rotterdam since 2020, I'm in my fourth year of Fine Arts at WDKA and Arts and Culture studies at Erasmus University.
My artistic practice revolves around themes of identity and home with a focus on photography and drawing as my main tools. Additionally, accessibility to culture is one of my biggest motivations: from the “emptied Spain” abandoned by policy to a Mozambique where young artists are marginalised by an art world delimited by Western boundaries.
